If the outcome of your Roof Certification inspection determines that the useful life remaining on your roof is fewer than five years or there is significant damage to your roof system, your insurance company may reject underwriting a new policy. If your roof has adequate years remaining of its useful life but there are major problems, such as leaks, those problems or damage may need to be addressed prior to your agent initiating a new homeowner's policy. Sometimes, your report may reflect slight problem areas with your roof system which may not necessarily need to be immediately addressed.
If your report does identify damages or major problems, we recommend contacting a reputable and licensed roofing contractor to provide an estimate for repairs.
